Shri Bhairavnathji Educational & Cultural Trust was set up by Late Shri Balwant Singh Rawat ( 07.08.1933 – 16.02.2022) to fulfil a promise he made to Bhairavnathji in early 1970s when he faced serious health issues while posted in Assam during his service in ONGC
Trust was set up with an initial fund of ₹1,12,518/= in 1998 and it became operational from 1999. The Trust has by 31.03.2023 distributed over ₹ 4.5 lakhs as one-time merit scholarship to more than 950 students covering 37 government schools around Matilyali, Kirtikhal and Kanva Ghati (Bhaber) in Pauri Garhwal. Merit certificates and books on Swami Vivekananda have also been distributed to the students.
Donation for Trust has initially come from 18 persons consisting of family, relatives and few friends and the net donation amount as in end Oct 2021 is Rs 5.56 Lakhs, with higher contributions coming from Shri Balwant Singh Rawat, Shri Satyendra Singh Negi and Shri Adwet Singh Gusain. Total Donation received by the Trust as on 31.03.2023 is ₹ 7.6Lakhs plus.
Total Trust Fund as on 31.03.2023 which includes investment (cost value) in UTI Mutual Funds and (Fixed Deposit)/Saving Account amount in SBI bank is ₹12.2 Lakhs plus. Dividend/Interest generated from the Corpus Fund is used for giving scholarships to the meritorious students. For the FY 2022-23, ₹ 51,100 spent on scholarship and teaching of children of labourers engaged in construction of multi-storied flats.
Temple of Shri Bhairavnathji after whom the trust is named, nestles on a high mountain top near Kirtikhal (Pauri Garhwal) from where a scenic view of Himalya ranges can be seen on a clear day.
In 2018, an award of Garhwal Siromani was given to Shri Balwant Singh Rawat for his work on this trust by Uttranchal Mahasangh Mumbai at a function held in Dehradun.
From a modest beginning and after running the Trust successfully for over 24 years, a strong need for more funds for the Trust is being felt to fulfil the objectives of the Trust like providing help to poor, destitute people, needy students , including more government/ semi-government schools of new districts of Uttarakhand under its umbrella and enhancing financial aid to meritorious students. From Feb 2023 we have enhanced the scholarship money by 200 in each category for students of 8th, 10th and 12th classes.

ट्रस्ट परिचय
श्री भैरवनाथजी शैक्षणिक एवं सांस्कृतिक ट्रस्ट की स्थापना स्वर्गीय श्री बलवंत सिंह रावतजी (07.08.1933 – 16.02.2022) द्वारा लिए गए एक संकल्प के तहत हुयी थी. यह संकल्प श्री बलवंत सिंह रावतजी ने तब लिया था जब 1970 के दशक के आरंभिक वर्षों में शिवसागर (असम) में ONGC की नौकरी करते हुए उन्हें गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्या का सामना करना पड़ा था।
ट्रस्ट की स्थापना सन् 1998 में महज ₹ 1,12,518/= की धनराशि से हुयी और यह सन् 1999 से सक्रिय हो गया। 31.03.2023 तक ट्रस्ट ने ₹ 4.5 लाख से अधिक की धनराशि 37 विद्यालयों के 950 से अधिक छात्र-छात्राओं को मेधावी छात्रवृत्ति के तहत प्रदान करी। ये विद्यालय कीर्तिखाल , मटियाली और कण्वघाटी के इलाके में जो पौडी गढ़वाल ( उत्तराखंड ) में स्थित हैं। मेघावी छात्र-छात्राओं को नकद पुरस्कार के अलावा मेरिट संटीफीकेट एवं स्वामी विवेकानंद की पुस्तकें भी भेंट की गयी।
ट्रस्ट में शुरुआत की जमा धनराशि केवल 18 व्यक्तियों की थी जो श्री बलवंत सिंह रावतजी के परिवार, रिश्तेदारों और कुछ नेक साथियों द्वारा दी गयी है। ट्रस्ट में Oct 2021 तक जमा की गयी कुल दानराशि ₹ 5.56 लाख थी जिसमें श्री बलवंत सिंह रावतजी, श्री सत्येन्द़ सिंह नेगी और श्री अद्वैत सिंह गुँसाई का अधिक योगदान है। ट्रस्ट में 31.03.2023 तक जमा की गयी कुल दानराशि ₹ 7.6 लाख सेअधिक है।
31.03.2023 को कुल ट्रस्ट फंड जिसमें UTI Mutual Fund में निवेश (Cost value) और SBI bank में (Fixed Deposit)/बचत खाता राशि शामिल है, ₹12.2 लाख से अधिक है। कॉर्पस फंड से प्राप्त लाभांश/ब्याज का उपयोग मेधावी विद्यार्थियों को छात्रवृत्ति देने के लिए किया जाता है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2022-23 में बच्चों की छात्रवृत्ति और बहुमंजिला फ्लैटों के निर्माण में लगे मजदूरों के बच्चों की पढ़ाई पर ₹51,100 खर्च किये गए।
श्री भैरवनाथजी का मंदिर, जिनके नाम पर ट्रस्ट का नाम रखा गया है, कीर्तिखाल (पौड़ी गढ़वाल) के पास एक ऊँचे पहाड़ की चोटी पर स्थित है, जहाँ से हिमालय पर्वतमाला का सुन्दर दृश्य साफ मौसम में स्पष्ट दिखाई देता है।
सन 2018 में श्री बलवंत सिंह रावत जी को ट्रस्ट के कार्यों के लिए उत्तरांचल महासंघ मुंबई द्वारागढ़वाल शिरोमणि के सम्मान से नवाजा गया
एक छोटी पहल और इसके बाद 24 से अधिक वर्षों तक यह ट्रस्ट सफलतापूर्वक चलाने के पश्चात आज हमें ट्रस्ट के अन्य उद्देश्यों को अपने कार्यों में शामिल करने हेतु, ट्रस्ट के लिए अधिक धनराशि की प्रबल आवश्यकता महसूस हो रही है | पर्याप्त धनराशि होने पर हम उत्तराखंड के अन्य जिलों के सरकारी / अर्ध सरकारी स्कूल को ट्रस्ट के दायरे में शामिल कर सकते हैं मेधावी छात्र-छात्राओं की धनराशि में वृद्धि कर सकते हैं गरीब विद्यार्थियों की अलग से मदद कर सकते हैं और गरीब बेसहारा लोगों की जरूरी मदद कर सकते हैं। फरवरी 2023 से हमने 8वीं, 10वीं और 12वीं कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्रत्येक श्रेणी में छात्रवृत्ति राशि में ₹200/= रुपये की वृद्धि की है।
